When I retire a dog, the fee is $500 and covers the spay, making sure their vaccinations are up-to-date.

I do not go by first come, first serve, but by the needs of the dog. So if there’s a particular dog that needs more people and love, versus a dog that’s more comfortable in a quiet home - I take those things into consideration when considering future homes.

RETIRING DOGS:

BRINLEY She missed 2 pregnancies in a row, which tells me that she’s done. She’s had 3 litters.

DOB 1/26/19 - 4 years old.

Brinley is very, very sweet, 17-19lbs, loves to have belly rubs. She has been mostly an outside dog, so there will need to be some potty training involved. She does focus/aim on pee pads, and would need to be kept in an exercise pen in the house until she is trained.

Brinley still acts like a puppy and has medium energy and would love a family that takes walks/hikes. She does bark when someone knocks on the door or arrives on the property, but a “Brinley hush, it’s me, or Brinley hush!” works to let her know that her warning was heard and she settles down. Sometimes she’s a little food-possessive, thanks to my neurotic shelter dog, Echo. She will twirl and do zoomies for attention. She’s mid-summer shed now. Her problem areas with her coat is buttskirt (poo dingle balls) and mats behind the ears.

No known health issues. DNA tested against 200+ genetic conditions. Fully OFA tested (hips, elbows, patellas, cardiac, thyroid).

I’m looking at spay dates now and she will be UTD on any vaccinations before going to her new home. I’d love for her to stay within a 1-2 hour radius of Louisville KY.
