OFA.

In cooperation with my vet, my dogs are OFA tested for:

  • Hips

  • Elbows

  • Patellas

  • Eyes (Not 2020 due to Covid)

As a breeder who is diligently working to progress the breed, it’s a step that is a necessary part of health screening process prior to breeding.

This does not mean that OFA certified dogs will never have issues. There are cases of dogs with bad hips with 20 previous generations OFA passed. Environmental plays a huge part in this.

Tips: Do not overexercise or strenuously exercise your puppy until after 1 year of age. Be very cautious if you have slick floors, like ceramic. Puppies need grip so that their loose joints are not affected.
